I grew up in Reutte, a small town in Tyrol, shaped by a working-class environment, strong social structures, and the realities that come with growing up far away from artistic institutions or cultural privilege. Music was not something distant or academic to me — it was instinctive, physical, and necessary. It was something that wanted out.

That background still shapes the way I work today.

My artistic practice is grounded in presence, directness, and curiosity rather than perfection or fixed categories. I sing, write, compose, improvise, and work with movement, loop station, electronics, and performance. Some works emerge through research, others through collective energy, emotion, or the simple need to create.

I move between music, movement, performance, and artistic research, always searching for forms that stay alive and connected to people. I am interested in tension: between individual and collective experience, structure and freedom, vulnerability and resistance.

Projects like StreetNoise Orchestra have strongly influenced my understanding of art as something social, physical, political, and shared. Making music in public spaces, moving with people, creating temporary communities through sound and movement — these experiences continue to shape my artistic language.

Before entering the arts academically, I worked in social pedagogy, which deeply informed the way I think about participation, responsibility, and collective processes. Today, these perspectives continue to flow into both my artistic and research practice.

At the centre of my work is the attempt to stay connected — to people, to the body, to social realities, and to forms of expression that allow complexity, emotion, and contradiction to exist at the same time.
